Ski and Snowboard Lessons
There are now many ski schools to choose from in resort; most of the ones below are based on the Pleney side and 3 are Avoriaz-based.
We understand that the choice can be a bit bewildering and so we can give advice about the ski schools to help you decide what's right for you, and we are happy to make initial enquiries on your behalf, but you do need to book and pay for their courses and private lessons direct (with the exception of the Morzine ESF with whom we are permitted to liaise on your behalf).
All ski schools are always very busy during the peak weeks so it is essential to book well in advance to avoid disappointment.
BASS Morzine
Run by Becci Malthouse and Jaz Lamb, has intensive courses and clinics for small numbers at all levels on the Pleney, as well as private lessons. Prices start at £115 for 6hr Improving (or Perfecting) Parallels group lessons for max 6 (adults) and £149 (adult 4 x 2 hr Flying Start) and £70/hr for private lessons.

Ecole de Ski Internationale
Run 5 or 6 day beginners' and improvers' courses and private lessons for English as well as French speakers, on the Pleney, from €190 - €270 for adults (max 8 per class),and €240 for children (max 6 per class for beginners) and can be contacted by email on info@morzineski.fr or tel. ESF
ESF runs 6-day group courses for all levels for adults and children Sunday - Friday, and you can book private lessons through them too.

Mint Snowboarding School
Mint operate snow board courses and sessions in Morzine and Avoriaz, and have beginner courses at €215 per person for 5 x 2 hours or a beginner's 3-hr "taster"session for €75.

The Snow School
The Snow School are an offshoot of the ESF, running smaller group size courses and lessons on Pleney specifically for English speakers.

The Snow Institute
The Snow Institute is a small team of British instructors based on the Pleney side, offering high quality private tuition (from £55 per hour for 1 person) and £75 - £265 per person for 4 – 18 hrs of group lessons. Particularly recommended for childrens' private lessons.

Avoriaz Alpine Ski School
Run by Ian McKellar, has been operating for 18 years now, previously under the name of BASS Avoriaz, offering group and private tuition at Avoriaz 1800m. Courses range from learn-to-ski or snowboard (4 x 2 hrs, €145) to teenage freeride courses (9 hrs, €160) and private lessons vary in rate according to whether it's peak season or not.

Freedom2Ski
Freedom2Ski is a small school run by Pete Hughes and a team of excellent instructors, offering group and private lessons up in Avoriaz. Private lessons start at £130 for 2 hours for 1 or 2people, and there are group sessions for teens and children for £229 for 15hours.

Ski Skills offers personal tuition for all levels in Avoriaz, and is run by Mike Hammond. Mike also runs popular Race Camps for kids.
