Catered Chalets, Morzine - Avoriaz

We no longer run a fully catered chalet all winter long: instead, since 2009-10, we have decided to offer all our chalets and apartments on a self-catered basis, with the option of upgrading to a part-catered or fully-catered service if you choose, or "delivered dinners".

This gives you freedom of choice and more importantly, flexibility. We work with some of the best freelance caterers and chalet staff in the area. There's a great advantage in having a freelance chef cook for your family or group; they are tried and tested, and are making their living from working freelance, so their reputation has to remain consistently high, and you don't run the risk of arriving at a chalet to be met by first-time chalet staff who may not have any experience and may not care too much about the impression they make on you!

What does "fully catered" mean?

Full catering includes a big breakfast (generally continental with fresh patisseries and a daily hot special, and you can upgrade to a full daily cooked breakfast if you prefer); afternoon tea and cake left out for you to help yourselves to on your return, and dinner. In general, adults' dinner is 3-courses including wine and coffee, but you can choose to have 4 courses every night if you like, or to have dinner without wine supplied. Children who eat earlier than the adults (usually the 2 – 12 year olds) have a discounted catered rate, and are served a 2-course supper; the menu is usually discussed between yourselves and the caterer. Generally if you book full catering, your rooms will be tidied and bathrooms / communal areas cleaned daily. Chalet staff have one day off, usually mid-week, when breakfast and afternoon tea will be left ready for you, but dinner is not provided and we are happy to advise you on and book local restaurants for you.

What about "part-catered"?

Part-catering can mean just dinners every night, or on nights that you choose. We can provide you with menus to give you an idea of what will be served, or you can tailor-make the menus in conjunction with your caterer. The average rate for a 3-course dinner with wine is €30 per adult: the menu can be upgraded to €40 or €50 menus with extra courses, canapés, special wines etc.

Part-catering can also mean breakfast-only, or breakfast and daily cleaning; you decide on the type of breakfasts you'd like and we will quote you accordingly.

"Dinner Delivery" is a service that is increasing in popularity: your evening meal will be delivered to your accommodation ready to heat and serve, so you don't have to have anyone actually cooking in the accommodation for you. There are various menus available: rates range from 18€ per adult for 2 course to €23 per person for 3 courses.
