Chalet Serac – Sleeps 10/11

During Summer 2009, the chalet is being completely renovated internally to a very high standard – we are aiming to get a 4* Tourist Classification! In addition to a new roof & velux in the triple bedroom, all the doors and windows are being replaced; there will be a new underfloor heating system, all new bathroom layout, and new electric water heating. But the most exciting change is that the lounge and dining area will now all be open-plan, with a much larger kitchen, which will be brand new, with a double oven and 5-ring hob. The downstairs double is being enlarged and will have an ensuite bathroom with bath and WC. The main living areas, garage and double bedrooms will all have new lighter wood-cladding, giving a fresher, brighter look. New photos will be shown on this page in the autumn.

Chalet Serac is ideal for small groups or family holidays as there are five bedrooms and three bathrooms (one is en-suite). The living/dining area is delightful and has three comfortable sofas and a dining table that will seat 11. The chalet is well appointed and prettily decorated.  There are 2 double bedrooms, 2 twin bedrooms and 1 triple bedroom (3 single beds).   In the winter, it’s possible to book Serac as a catered (or semi-catered) chalet – just contact us for a quote with details of your group, but there must be a minimum of 6 people.

In summer, the location of the chalet is ideal: apart from its central Morzine position, the tennis courts are just opposite, the Olympic-sized swimming pool complex is 100m down the road, and the Super Morzine lift (which runs in the summer) 150m away, offer mountain bikers easy access to some of the best downhill and cross-country terrain in the Alps.  The garage has ample space for mountain bike storage, and there is a hose for washing down dirty bikes (and riders!) outside.  The wide sunny balcony which runs round the front and side of the chalet is ideal for sunbathing and evening BBQ’s. There is parking right outside.
